Shannon Bird Reports Over $386k Raised in Q3, Raises Nearly As Much As Three Opponents Combined

Bird Reports More In-District Contributors Than the Entire Primary Field

Westminster, Colorado – With third quarter FEC reports filed on October 15, Colorado State Rep. Shannon Bird raised nearly as much as three of her primary opponents combined for the second quarter in a row.

Bird raised over $386,000 in Q3, with 95 percent of her itemized contributions to date coming from within Colorado, and more contributions from within CO-08 than all of her primary opponents. Bird is running a people-powered campaign and does not take corporate PAC money. Her impressive fundraising haul comes amidst making more than 35 stops across the district in the third quarter to meet with voters and community institutions.

Bird’s growing momentum includes earning more than 115 endorsements from leaders across the district and state – more than twice the entire primary field combined. Bird also has more labor endorsements of any non-incumbent congressional candidate west of the Mississippi, with support from the International Association of Fire Fighters, Colorado Professional Fire Fighters, Plumbers Local 3, Insulators Local 28, and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1001.

“I’m grateful that Coloradans are uniting behind our campaign to fire Gabe Evans,” Bird said. “Together, we’ll flip this seat and lower costs, expand healthcare, and protect our Colorado way of life.”
